Ruby

For years Ruby, our resident Red-eared Slider Turtle, has been welcoming guests to our Interpretive Nature Center.  We have recently undertaken a project to build Ruby a new and more suitable dwelling space that she will enjoy.  Who knew that turtles needed so much space? – well, if you ever see Ruby out for one of her walks with one of our ACORNS volunteers, you will understand.  She loves to move around – and she certainly can move! And her new environment will allow visitors to observe and enjoy her activities more easily.

Now you can join us in making Ruby’s new home a reality. Come to our Special Fund-raising event on May 3rd at the Nature Center.  There will be plenty of activities and fun. Everything turtle! And if you would like to make a donation to help us pay for Ruby’s new environment, Click here.  And thank you!

(Please note: After you enter the amount, you will be asked to continue to the next page where you will be asked to add an additional optional amount to our payment service.  Feel free to choose “other amount” and enter “zero”.  Otherwise you will be charged an additional 17%.)

Even Rex wants to help his friend Ruby get her new home.  How about you?
